If You’re Not Angry About Chikesia Clemons, You’re Not Paying Attention

veryfemmeandantifascist:

When two black men were arrested at Starbucks for no reason, so many in our communities rallying around them to right the wrong that was done to them. Arresting black people for simply existing in a space is a form of institutional racism. But that same energy for protesting against police brutality towards black women is NOT there. Chikesia Clemons is a young black women who was brutally arrested in a Waffle House because she refused to pay 0.50 cents for cutlery. She was tackled to ground with her breasts exposed by three white male officers who threatened to break her arm. Her story has not gone viral, she had no white bystanders speak up for her, and is not getting enough vocal support from black leaders. Where are the white feminists who support #metoo? Where are all the black male celebrities who vowed to use the platform and boycott Starbucks? The media silence on her brutal sexual assault by law enforcement speaks volumes to how the suffering of black women is not seen as a priority. Black women are victims of police brutality too and we need justice.

I keep saying this but the existence of sex robots is only reflection of how alienated the personhood of women is under capitalism and how patraiarchal desire has detached sex from love, mutual affection, and consent

or…. so people  who have lost their  loved one or dont have the mental capabilities to  juggle a social life feel less like outsiders?? 100% smash that patriarchy my pal but its fucking ableist to assume that sex dolls are all for nt trauma free cis white men. when they arent. also male sex robots exist. also some women are gay. also nb ppl can have sex. like?

If sex posi is the hill you will die on, I’ve come to kill you. Stop your stupidity because you and I both know that regardless of who has the sex robot, the fact that it exists as a reflection of a human being without desire and without a right to say a word, without the right to consent, and without a will of its own will always stay creepy. I don’t fucking care who buys it. It’s bad. And you are fucking stupid if you think sex robots being used by women or the like will actually be good things.

im sorry but did they just say that it was ableist to be against sex dolls like what in the goddamn

ableism discourse was a mistake

that persons argument is so LOL cos we see in the sex industries how gendered this is; women are seen as the ‘keepers’ of sex (that is, withholding it from men) n the vast majority of people who buy sex are men (some sex workers are also men ofc but the clients of male sex workers are usually other men)

its fucking ableist to assume that sex dolls are all for nt trauma free cis white men

tumblr was a mistake

I especially love the idea that trauma somehow negates everything else going on here lmao, like this person literally seems to be trying to list axes of oppression to somehow.. justify? excuse? something that’s actually about how women are treated in society
